There is staff on hand at all times to assist driver's as much as possible. All staff have driven taxis so we all have a good understanding of the industry.

The night and weekend staff have basic mechanical knowledge and most problems can be repaired to have you on the road ASAP. If not we have a fleet of substitute taxis that can be used in the event of a major mechanical failure.

We have a comfortable driver's room with coffee facilities available. This driver’s area is totally secure, as you need a pin to access the front door of the premises. All pay ins are done electronically through our state of the art computer system.

Drivers are given a copy of their pay in straight away for their own records and tax invoices are issued monthly.

Drivers Required

Few people realise the importance a Taxi Driver plays in the community, where they can introduce a tourist to their city, ensure a child gets to and from school, get a business person to an important meeting, rush an urgent supply of drugs to a Medical Centre or just make sure the household groceries arrive home in one piece at the end of a gruelling shopping day.

Requirements for Taxi Driving

To driver a taxi you need to obtain a Drivers Authorisation from Queensland Transport. To do this you will need:

• To have held a drivers licence continuously for at least 3 years (overseas and interstate licenses are recognised)

• To have an acceptable driving and criminal history

• A current Commercial Vehicle Driver’s Health Assessment. This can be obtained through your local GP

• An English Assessment Certificate. This will be issued to you after completing the English Assessment

• A certificate showing your successful completion of the Taxi Driver Training Course (supplied at the completion of the course)

You may lodge your application with Queensland Transport before attending the course you will need to supply the English Assessment Certificate and the Commercial Vehicle Health Assessment before the application will be approved.
